How to Know Which HHO Hydrogen Generator Manual to Buy

If you are reading this, you are probably researching a way to save gas. I know I am. I don't believe Detroit and Big Oil have my best interests at heart. I do think they could engineer an affordable car that gets hybrid car type gas mileage if they wanted to. I have already purchased books on how to build a hydrogen generator and have visited numerous blogs, forums, and public domain information websites. Its getting kind of confusing to be honest with you. After I finished reading through one of these e-books that explained how to build hydrogen generators, I ordered a different one because the first one was pretty complicated and the hydrogen generator and bubbler were really big. Like seriously, really BIG! The latest one I ordered and read was written by a lady who claimed to have built one herself. It was much a much simpler design and used less expensive parts. That's probably the type I will build. I am not longing for a week long project. I just want to save gas.

The first manual I read specified using 12 stainless steel household switch cover plates. What? That's almost a hundred dollars just for the switch plates! That same manual also called for building a bubbler, (and they even touted their design as being the simplest) All in all, I have 3 manuals now. I bought 2 of them and one was free. I am going to build one just as soon as I have time and when I do, you can be sure I will write about it and recommend the manual that worked best.

I drive a 1994 Nissan Maxima with 208,000 miles on it. The last time I filled up, I got 23 MPG. I am telling you that now so that if this thing works, I can reference this article for extra proof. I am shooting for 30 MPG with this thing and I believe it will work. My goal is to buy the parts, make the hydrogen generator, hook it up, and drive it all in a day. Once I get a tank or two of gas burned, you can expect my next article on how I am saving gas with my new hydrogen generator.

HHO Hydrogen Conversion - Top 7 Reasons Not to Buy a Hydrogen Generator Kit

I have been researching a hot topic lately concerning Hydrogen Generators, HHO gas, and Hydrogen conversion kits that convert normal cars into Hydrogen Hybrids. Its a hot topic alright and it gets hotter every tie gas prices go up another penny. After spending hours and hours of research and learning the pros and cons of hydrogen generators, I have settled on the "Top 7 Reasons for not installing a hydrogen generator on your car"

1. You don't believe it will work.

2. building and installation is too complicated

3. You are not a mechanic

4. it is too expensive

5. it will damage your engine

6. It might be unsafe

7. Your "know it all" brother in law informed you that it defies the first law of thermodynamics.

Lets explore these reasons one at a time:

1. Whether you believe it or not, its hard to deny the fact that hydrogen can be extracted from water and that hydrogen generators are currently working on thousands of cars. Large Hydrogen generators are being used currently in the welding industry to run cutting and brazing torches.

2. Building and installing a hydrogen conversion kit is a bit of a task, but if you are the kind of person who changes your own oil, you can make your own hydrogen generator.

3. Again, if you are mechanically inclined at all, making and installing a hydrogen conversion kit will be no problem.

4. Some of the instruction manuals are as low as $47 with the most expensive completely detailed hydrogen conversion guide being around $97.

5. I have been researching, and have found zero reports of hydrogen generators damaging a cars engine.

6. These hydrogen kits only produce hydrogen on demand, making it much safer than a hydrogen fuel cell car that stores hydrogen in a tank

7. Tell your "know it all" brother in law to pound sand.

Water Powered Car Defies the Laws of Physics - Or Does It?

My head is on fire. I am cheesed off. I just finished reading an article at ecogeek where some egghead pontificated as to why a water powered car would never work, and could never work and that all the adds for hydrogen conversion kits are scams. I have heard it all before, " It defies the first law of physics. It is impossible to get more energy out than what goes in" Blah, Blah, yakitty schmackity.

Well Mr. egghead, let me ask you this: How much energy goes into making gasoline? and Does it combust with 100 percent efficiency? or is there potential energy that is being wasted and sent out the tailpipe? If the gasoline burns with 100 percent efficiency, what is the catalytic converter for?

Can you handle the truth? The truth is that the gasoline powered automobile is not very efficient. Unburned gas fumes go right out the tailpipe. Catalytic converters are required on vehicles to help burn those fumes so they wont pollute the air. But burning those fumes does not help your gas mileage. In fact, the restrictive nature of the catalytic converter can actually hurt your gas mileage.

HHO gas, which is hydrogen and oxygen gas, added to the fuel air mixture that burns in your car, greatly increases the combustion efficiency and gets more energy out of the gasoline because the potential energy is already there. HHO gas can be produced by using the electric current your cars alternator already makes to recharge the battery. The electricity is passed through a water solution and creates HHO, or hydrogen and oxygen gas which is very combustible. This is a known fact. Even eggheads don't argue this point.

Maybe Mr. egghead is only speaking about the claims that some hydrogen cars are able to run on water alone. I don't know or even care about those hydrogen cars. When a simple device that can be made from Home Depot Hardware can use plain water to get 50 percent better gas mileage, I can't even think about spending thousands for a hydrogen car. Why argue the point of whether a car can run on water alone, when a great idea that works is staring you in the face.

I hope everyone takes advantage of this technology and enjoys a gasoline and water powered car. Thousands of people are already experiencing great results and are now seen on YouTube and other video sites excited about their hydrogen assisted car that runs on water. Not water alone, but gasoline too, just less gas.

And for all the naysayers out there who say it can't be done, please move to the back of the line to make room for the people who are doing it.

Hydrogen Fueled Cars - Let's Not Fool Ourselves

How to Save Gas With Hydrogen Fueled Cars

Have you seen all the Videos all over the internet about HHO gas and Hydrogen fueled cars? If you haven't, you must be very busy like me so let me save you some time and give you the down and dirty scoop on these new generation cars:

There are basically 3 types;

1. Fuel Cell cars

A fuel cell converts the gas directly into electricity without the need for an internal combustion engine.

2. Hydrogen powered cars

These vehicles have internal combustion engines that are powered by hydrogen which is stored in high pressure tanks.

3. Hydrogen car conversions

These are normal cars that run on gasoline as well as HHO gas after a hydrogen conversion kit has been installed.

What are the pros and cons of each?

  • Fuel cell cars are supposed to be very environmentally friendly. Virtually no emissions. Very popular amongst the Hollywood crowd because they give the appearance of being very green.
  • The Hydrogen that powers them is often produced by using natural gas so the actual carbon footprint is uncertain.
  • Hydrogen powered cars that use combustion engines and haul around high pressure explosive gas cylinders make no sense. Paying a premium price to get inferior gas mileage and search far and wide for a hydrogen filling station? No thanks.
  • Hydrogen conversion kits are much more practical than either of the other two types of vehicles because you can keep whatever car you have, build the kit yourself for under $100, and get an immediate improvement in gas mileage and emissions.

New Stem Cell Treatment Gives Spinal Cord Injury Patient Hope

Rickey Turner, an ex-police officer from Texas, who was paralyzed in a horrible car accident, is improving since going to China to receive Adult Stem Cell therapy to treat his Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). After his car accident in 2006, Rickey was not only paralyzed, but suffered from the nerve injuries that caused him to feel a sharp pain every time he touched his middle finger and index finger on his left hand.

For 2 years, Rickey thought there was no hope for improvement. However, then he heard about Adult Stem Cell treatment in China that was helping patients with similar Spinal Cord Injuries show improvement. Rickey booked his trip in March 2008. In China, Rickey was given injections of Adult Stem Cells harvested from umbilical cord blood into his spinal cord. The doctors thought it would take Rickey 2-3 months to show any improvement from the Adult Stem Cells. It took only 3 weeks!

After 3 weeks of the Adult Stem Cell treatment and rehabilitation, Rickey was with his mother and he touched his middle finger and index finger together. There was no pain! Then Rickey moved one of his fingers he couldn't move before. To them, it was a miracle. Rickey's mother called in the shocked doctors who ran in and started videotaping Rickey. Rickey and his mother were crying with joy.

These days, Rickey has improved even more. He can now move his upper torso, has more strength and motion in his arms and can even wrestle with his 4 year old son.

While Rickey's story is wonderful, it is unfortunate he had to travel all the way to China to receive his Adult Stem Cell treatment. Adult Stem Cell advocates point to Rickey's story and say that Adult Stem Cell research is helping people overseas everyday and this miracle therapy should be made available in the United States.

The Repair Stem Cell Institute is a public-service company formed to educate, teach, and help patients with chronic diseases and conditions to find qualified doctors who provide Adult Stem Cell therapy to improve the patient's quality of life.

The Repair Stem Cell Institute website has a list of diseases and injuries that are now being treated with adult stem cells. The site also tells the reader where and how to seek out that particular stem cell therapy.

Adult Stem Cells (AKA Repair Stem Cells) can now help more than 100 diseases and conditions. The Repair Stem Cell Institute provides the latest up to date information on these adult stem cell treatments.

Don Margolis, the founder of the Repair Stem Cell Institute also keeps a blog which he updates almost daily. His blog contains the latest successful adult stem cell treatment stories and discoveries.

Save Money on Home Energy Costs - Help the Environment and the Economy at the Same Time

Few people realize how much wasted energy use at home impacts the environment, and makes us more dependent on foreign oil. Nor do they understand that they can quickly reduce their energy costs substantially by a variety of cost-effective conservation efforts.

Obama Gets It

President-elect Barack Obama has announced that energy conservation is a strategic new way to help reduce energy costs for low income households. He has promised to provide conservation contractors for 1 million poorer households to reduce energy consumption and cut energy costs. This would represent a historic shift in emphasis for the government, reducing people's energy bills instead of helping to pay them. At the same time, it will create tens of thousands of jobs for contractors to assist with conservation upgrades for these homes. This will be part of the new presidents plan to create new jobs, reduce consumer energy costs and at the same time make us less depended on foreign energy sources.

Global Climate Change

The scientific community agrees that increasing CO2 levels are contributing to global climate change. But not all of this CO2 comes from industry and transportation as many people assume. Households are responsible for one-fifth of the energy consumed in the United States. A little more than half of the energy used in our homes is in the form of electricity. The remainder comes from natural gas, coal and oil. All of this CO2 takes its toll on our environment. For example, the average home produces more than twice as much greenhouse gas pollution as the average car. If you add together the emissions produced by power plants that generate electricity, plus those from oil, and gas-fired appliances, the average house is responsible for the release of 22,000 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) each year. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), this compares to poorly with a typical car's 10,000 pounds of CO2 annually.

Conservation and Energy Use

In many homes, we don't even benefit from a lot of the energy we end up paying for. Unneeded lights, old appliances, poorly maintained Heating and AC systems, drafty doors and windows and under-insulated attics, walls, floors, and basements all take a bite out of the energy bill in almost every home. Studies have also shown that two families living in IDENTICAL homes can have energy bills that vary by as much as 100 percent -- this means that an occupants energy efficiency habits and appliances can double (or halve) your energy bills.

Many people are reluctant to improve the energy efficiency of their home when they might be moving out in just a few years, or they think the costs will be too high for conservation efforts. But the published research is clear that investments in energy efficiency are often relatively inexpensive, extremely cost effective and also lead to higher home resale values.

A study published in The Appraisal Journal found that the market value of a home increases by $10 - $25 for every $1 decrease in annual fuel bills. The study was conducted by ICF Consulting with funding from the Environmental Protection Agency. The research was conducted at a sample of over 16,000 housing units all across the nation.

What You Can Do Right Now

Schedule an energy efficiency inspector audit of your home. My client's report an annual net energy savings of $300 after implementing the cost-effective efficiency recommendations from my audits. I offer my audits at no cost if I am conducting a new purchase home inspection. Also, many utility companies sponsor free, or reduced cost energy efficiency inspections. In addition, utilities typically have a web based self-audit that the homeowner can complete to develop their own energy efficiency plan. Most utilities also offer rebates on the purchase of new EnergyStar rated efficient appliances and other conservation materials and services. Contact your local utility provider for more information. In California, visit the Energycheck website for a qualified energy efficiency inspector in California. energycheckup.com/content/findinspector.asp/.

A fast and cost effective way to reduce electrical costs is to replace current incandescent light bulbs with the new generation of CFL energy saving bulbs. Local utilities often provide incentives to retailers (including Cost-Co) to sell these bulbs at very low costs. I recently found these bulbs for sale at various retailers in California for less than $1 per bulb. Using these CFL bulbs can reduce your electrical use and bill up to 20% alone. There has been some misinformation about CFL bulbs emitting mercury during operation. These mercury hazard claims are false. However, if a CFL bulb breaks, (since it has a very small amount of mercury), it should be placed in a plastic bag, and discarded at the proper facility where you would for paints or batteries. CFL technology has been greatly enhanced: they turn on faster and last longer. However, they still have not been perfected for dimmer light controls.

So be smart by making your home more energy efficient, at the same time you will: save money, help the environment, and the economy, as well as reducing our dependents on foreign oil.

Living With Amputated Legs

My Dad lost both his legs in the second world war. He was fighting in Italy, near Messina, when him and two friends stood on an anti-personnel mine. My Dad had one leg off at the knee, and the other one above the knee, about mid-thigh. He had shrapnel embedded in his hands and arms for his whole life.

A couple of days later, in hospital, my Dad realised that he had a decision to make: he either had to decide to make the best of what life had given him, or he could decide to feel sorry for himself and the unfairness of life and become a miserable person. He decided to make the best of his life.

He married, had four kids, drove a car, built me a treehouse 3 metres up a tree, swam in the sea, held down a regular job at a timber importer, took the family camping, became chairman of the St Giles association for the handicapped, was an elder in the church, ran their finances, donated over 50 pints of blood, and serviced his own car.

He could walk on his artificial legs, without a stick, carrying two cups of tea for him and my Mom, until he got quite a bit older and his balance wasn't so good.

I wouldn't have swapped him for any other able bodied dad. He was the best there was.

So if you are in the same situation, I just want to tell you - the sky's the limit. You have the potential to be a force for good in the world -- and like my Dad, you can use your disability to get into places and affect people in a way that no able bodied person could ever do. My Dad had a hood that he was allowed to put over parking meters - he could park anywhere for free! More than once we were allowed to park in the mayors parking spot! Cool hey!

When you have this sort of disability, you can pull people's legs and joke with them in the most reckless way, and get away with it! Very few people will hit someone with no legs - it makes them look like the worst type of bully. I've seen my Dad dealing with aggressive drunks, and they never touched him, even though they had been smashing holes in doors just minutes before.

My Dad's attitude was to always look for the good in other people. There's always some good in there somewhere. I think that that made a big difference in people's attitude towards him.

So be encouraged. There's an amazing amount of things that you can do without legs. My Dad had a pair of flippers made by the guys at the "Limb Factory" (the prosthesis unit at the local hospital) and he used them to go body surfing. That was when he was in his fifties dude! The flippers were in the back of the car when I went for my drivers test, and the traffic officer was so interested in these things that he passed me, even though my driving kinda sucked!

Humor helps tremendously in these circumstances. My Dad liked the joke about the guy with 3 eyes, no arms and one leg standing at the bus stop. The bus driver pulls up, and says to him "Aye aye aye, you look 'armless; hop on!" If you can laugh at yourself and see the funny side of even the worst circumstances, they are easier to bear. It helps people around you to relax too, which in turn helps you to feel more "normal."

Phantom feet worried my Dad quite often. This is the feeling that you've got feet, and they are itching, or sore, or aching. He took that as it came, and it passed after a couple of minutes.

Nowadays there are so many new materials available that prevent chafing and blisters on the stumps. Prosthetic limbs have come a long way as well with bendable carbon fiber materials, which my Dad never had. But an indomitable spirit can overcome many obstacles.

Decide to make the best of life.

Life can still be a whole lot of fun!
