Six Step Holiday Checklist to Get the Best Accommodation in Granada

Your success in searching for the most suitable holiday accommodation in Granada can affect whether or not your time there will be one to remember (for the right reasons).

For most people a holiday is a very important part of their lives and only comes once a year. Using this accommodation checklist for Granada could help you find a better place to stay for the holiday of your choice.

1. Is the accommodation in a good location? Staying inside the city means that you will be able to go visit round and about and then walk back to your room. However, it can be quite noisy in some parts of Granada and this could affect your sleep. Choosing to stay somewhere in a quieter area, maybe just outside the city, means there would be a bit of travelling involved, but would be offset by the fact that you can get to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the surroundings and get a more varied holiday.

2. Is the food and drink good - and available? Are there tea and coffee making facilities in your room? Are meals available (including breakfast) without having to go a long way to get what you want? And, perhaps just as important - Is the food good?

3. Is there air conditioning? It can get quite hot in summer and so a room with AC is a must.

4. Is the accommodation easily accessible? Some areas of Granada are hilly and difficult to access by car - in the Albayzín for instance. It can make for a poor start to a holiday in Granada if you have to carry or wheel your suitcases up and down cobbled streets to get to your accommodation. Much better to be able to drive to where you are staying, unload your luggage and then park up until you are ready to move on.

5. Is car parking available? Having to leave your car in a public car park for several days could mean that the charges will mount up. Being able to park - free - at your accommodation would be much better.

6. Do the staff speak English and Spanish? There are two good reasons for this (unless you speak Spanish yourself). You will find it much easier getting information about the area and "what's on" if you can communicate easily, and if an emergency should arise, it is a godsend to be able to speak to the people where you are staying and then they, if needs be, can phone or speak to others on your behalf.

Using this accommodation Granada checklist will help you have a wonderful holiday in this beautiful city. And when you do get there - have a really wonderful time!
